The National Association of Enabling Educators of Australia (NAEEA) is pleased to announce that applications and nominations for the 2026 Grants & Awards Program are now open.
The annual program celebrates excellence across the Enabling Education sector while supporting research, innovation and professional practice that improves outcomes for students throughout Australia. Whether you are leading an innovative research project, developing a new initiative or wish to recognise an outstanding colleague, the Grants & Awards Program provides an opportunity to acknowledge and support the important work taking place across the sector.
This year’s grant opportunities include the Research Development Grant, which provides funding of up to $2,000 to support research that strengthens evidence-informed practice and contributes to policy, pedagogy and student success. The Enabling Education Seed Grant offers funding of up to $1,000 to assist with pilot projects, proof-of-concept studies, collaborative partnerships and preliminary research that may lead to larger research initiatives or external funding opportunities.
NAEEA is also calling for nominations for its two prestigious biennial awards. The Excellence in Enabling Teaching Award recognises educators who demonstrate outstanding teaching practice, innovation and a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments that empower students to succeed. The Distinguished Service Award honours individuals who have made an exceptional and sustained contribution to the Enabling Education sector through leadership, advocacy, scholarship and service.
These awards acknowledge the passion, expertise and dedication of the individuals who continue to strengthen Enabling Education across Australia and inspire excellence within the profession.
