Highlights from the 7th International NAEEA Conference

Conference

The 7th International NAEEA Conference brought together Enabling educators, researchers, practitioners and sector leaders from across Australia and overseas to share ideas, celebrate innovation and strengthen professional connections.

Across several days, delegates explored contemporary issues affecting Enabling Education, including student belonging, equity, digital learning, transition, wellbeing and evidence-informed teaching. The conference program featured keynote presentations, research papers, workshops and practical case studies that demonstrated the breadth and maturity of the discipline.

A defining feature of every NAEEA conference is the generosity with which members share their experiences. Sessions encouraged open discussion about successes, challenges and emerging opportunities, allowing delegates to return to their own institutions with practical ideas that can be adapted to local contexts.

Beyond the formal program, networking remained one of the conference’s greatest strengths. New collaborations were formed, research partnerships discussed and professional relationships strengthened. For many delegates, these conversations are just as valuable as the presentations themselves.

As the conference concluded, delegates reflected on the remarkable progress made by the Enabling education sector while recognising the important work still ahead. NAEEA extends its thanks to presenters, sponsors, volunteers and attendees whose enthusiasm and expertise made the conference another outstanding success.
