Dr John Pike is a lecturer at Adelaide University where he teaches courses on digital and information literacy. His research interests include the use of digital technology in teaching, learning, and assessment. With a background in sociology, he is particularly interested in how we can promote a critical approach to artificial intelligence in education, as well as the wider social implications of algorithmic systems.

Dr Darren Swanson is a lecturer at CQUniversity, where he works in the School of Access Education, supporting students to develop critical, creative, and ethical approaches to university study. His research interests include generative artificial intelligence in higher education, cognitive learning strategies, academic literacies, and student learning design. With a background in history and Asian studies, he is particularly interested in how GenAI can help students engage with research materials in more imaginative, memorable, and personally meaningful ways, opening up new possibilities for creativity, reflection, and deeper learning.
